Lorraine

  • After a tumor scare forced Lorraine to stop HRT, she gradually experienced menopause symptoms, including vaginal dryness. It started with itching and burning, eventually making intimacy painful. With V-san, her symptoms disappeared instantly, and she feels like herself again. Lorraine hopes to break the taboo by encouraging open conversations about vaginal dryness.

Meryl

  • Meryl said she was quite lucky as she didn’t have any of the usual menopause symtoms, such as hot flushes or night sweats. But what she did have was dryness in the intimate area. She didn’t discover it until intimacy became uncomfortable and she didn’t feel like she could speak to her partner about it. Meryl says she’s been using V-san every morning when she moisturises the rest of her body. Thanks to this, her intimate area feels moisturised and feels how it always did feel before the menopause.

Pippa

  • Pippa’s experience with vaginal dryness was very early on in her menopause journey as she had a hysterectomy, which plunged her into the menopause. She experienced lots of dryness, itchiness, tightness and soreness in her intimate area but thought it was something post-operative. She didn’t know anybody else in her circle who experienced it so she kept quiet about it for a long time. When doing research into her symptoms, she learnt she needed a hormone-free product to treat her symptoms, due to her past experience with cancer. That’s she came across V-san, which relieved her symptoms instantly. She now uses V-san in a preventative way daily. Pippa hopes that by sharing her story with V-san, younger women will be more educated about the menopause and vaginal dryness and wont have to suffer as she did.

Louise

  • Louise shared that vaginal dryness affected all aspects of her everyday life – she felt uncomfortable and itchy in jeans and leggings, especially when walking or running. Sex also became very painful and stated to avoid it, which took a toll on her relationship. She initially thought she had a urine infection. When looking for a product that could help, she came across V-san Moisturising Cream in Boots. She now uses V-san daily and also during sex and is happy she can finally feels more like herself again.

Oishi

  • Oishi grew up in a conservative Indian culture, where intimate health problems, such as periods and menopause were considered taboo. So naturally, vaginal dryness was never talked about. Oishi had a lot of menopause symptoms – hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings. But despite her medical background, she initially thought her dryness and itching in the intimate area was caused by bacterial vaginosis (BV). After trying a few treatments that didn’t seem to help, Oishi came across V-san which relieved vaginal dryness within a few days. She said she loves to dance and can finally do that comfortably and her moods swings have reduced since she feels more comfortable now. Oishi would like to empower women, especially from Indian backgrounds, to not suffer in silence and talking about their symptoms will help them find the right treatment.
