A healthy vulva
The skin of the vulva is colonised by natural microbial flora including lactobacilli. The skin also produces a protective hydrolipidic film using its own lipids (fats) and moisture binding substances. The hydrolipidic film has an acidic pH of about 5.0–5.5 and is also known as the protective acid mantle of the skin. This forms a natural defence against pathogens (disease-causing micro-organisms) in the vulvar area.
If you are among the women who often suffer from skin irritation in the external genital area or if you simply want to feel cared for, Dr. Wolff's V-san Intimate Wash Lotion is recommended for mild daily cleansing.
